STEP 1: Excavation: Dig off and dispose of soil. We sometimes hire a mini-digger for this purpose
STEP 2: Sub-base: Spread, level & compact a minimum 100mm thick layer of sub-base material
STEP 3: Edge Courses & Kerbs: we lay these into a concrete base
STEP 4: Laying Course: Spread, level and compact laying-course sand and screed to the correct level
STEP 5: Block Laying: Many plans call for a 45-degree pattern or "herringbone" pattern but many other types are available
STEP 6: Alignment & Compliance
STEP 7: Cutting-in: Once the alignment has been checked and verified, the edges are cut in
STEP 8: Completion: finally the joints are swept with kiln-dried sand
